About Us
Story County Community Housing Corporation (SCCHC) - A Community Land Trust - is a county-wide, community-based, non-profit corporation working to create and maintain affordable rental and family-owned housing.
To promote home ownership, the SCCHC uses the community land trust model and is a member of the National CLTNetwork. SCCHC works to provide affordable housing for families, and to maintain permanently affordable housing for members of our community for years to come! We partner with numerous local, similar mission organizations toward these goals.

RAGBRAI in Ames -- SCCHC joined with the Ames Convention and Visitor's Bureau to Find Host Families...
On July 22, over 70 families in Ames opened their homes to RAGBRAI groups ranging in size from 1 to 40 members. The SCCHC helped the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau find hosts for riding groups who applied through them.
Rich Webb, SCCHC director, visited some of the host families on July 22 and recounts some stories in our summer newsletter issue coming out in early August. (7/24/08)
